First Enrollment Planned for Fall of 2022
In Fall of 2022, Creighton University Doctor of Physical Therapy plans to open a second program in Phoenix, Arizona with a shared mission and curriculum built from the Omaha program’s long history of excellence in physical therapy education.
The physical therapy program in Phoenix will incorporate Ignatian values and strong calling to improve the lives of patients. The curriculum will be both learner and patient centered; it will include authentic learning experiences, promote adaptive learning and strong clinical reasoning.
Students will learn in a new, state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of midtown Phoenix in Park Central. The new, modern health sciences campus will be home to nearly 900 students across multiple professions bringing interprofessional collaborative practice and education to improve and innovate patient care.
The program will be a part of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance with close relationships to Dignity St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Valleywise Health and District Medical Group, Inc.
