Sixteen School of Pharmacy and Health Professions students have been inducted into the Creighton chapter of the national honor society for Jesuit colleges and universities, Alpha Sigma Nu. Inductees include nine pharmacy and seven physical therapy students. They are, from the PharmD class of ’18, Lauren Chinen, Lauren Jacobsmeyer, Brittney Mei Ling Kinu Lau, Lauren Schluenz, Austin Smith, Alanna Stadstad and Louisa Sullivan; from the PharmD class of ’17, Jessica Jones and Katherine Gizzie Peppin; and from the DPT class of ’17, Ashlyn Brennan, Miranda Citrone, Emily Done, Adrienne Elmquist Gill, Jordan May, Travis Sparks and Kristen Wendte.
Alpha Sigma Nu’s mission is to promote the core principles and ideals of Jesuit education and to foster understanding of and appreciation for them. Creighton’s Alpha Sigma Nu chapter is the second oldest chapter in the nation.
Nominations are solicited each year from Creighton faculty, and inductees are selected based on their proven scholarship, loyalty and service through their intellectual, civic, religious, professional or commercial pursuits.
