Paul Price, PharmD, BCPPPaul Price, PharmD, BCPP, senior associate dean, was appointed as a commissioner on the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) for a four-year term starting Jan. 1.

CAPTE is an accrediting agency that is nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. CAPTE grants specialized accreditation status to qualified entry-level education programs for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

CAPTE, a group of 31 individuals with varied backgrounds, is charged with determining whether a program meets the standards of quality in physical therapy education,  what standards of quality to use, and setting policies and procedures for the accreditation process.
