Phoenix Doctor of Physical Therapy Update February 2020
Phoenix Doctor of Physical Therapy Update February 2020

Greetings from Arizona! Thank you to all the physical therapy alumni who attended the Creighton Men’s Basketball watch party at Clancy’s in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was great to connect and cheer the Bluejays on as they beat Marquette!

Development of the Phoenix Health Sciences campus and Doctor of Physical Therapy program continues to progress. Construction recently began on the fifth floor, and plans for the physical therapy research labs, rehabilitation teaching labs and rehabilitation classroom spaces are in place. The building is on schedule to be completed in early 2021.

Relationships with our Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance partners (District Medical Group, Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, and Valleywise Health) are strengthening and will provide amazing collaborative opportunities for our faculty, staff and students.

Our new director of clinical education is scheduled to begin this May. A formal announcement will be coming soon. Other faculty positions will be opening this spring.

Please be on the lookout for these announcements, and contact me at jameslynskey [at] creighton [dot] edu if you have any questions about the new program.

James Lynskey, PT, PhD, Chair, Phoenix Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
