Dr. Daniel Hilleman is a professor of pharmacy practice and a professor of medicine at Creighton University. His career as a pharmacist-scientist spans more than 35 years and includes clinical research, clinical teaching, classroom teaching and patient care. He has been a member of the Creighton pharmacy faculty since 1981 and served as the clinical pharmacist for Creighton’s Cardiac Center since 1982. Dr. Hilleman is recognized as an international expert in the field of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.
Well-respected by students and colleagues for his experience, wealth of knowledge, and accomplishments, Dr. Hilleman has held various administrative and leadership positions within the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and School of Medicine over the years. During his tenure at Creighton, he has mentored many faculty, fellows, residents and students, in a number of health care disciplines.
His list of professional publications includes some 400 original papers, book chapters, monographs and abstracts. He is a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy as well as the American College of Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Hilleman’s professional service includes involvement in several professional organizations and societies. He also volunteers for a number of pharmacy and cardiology professional organizations and medical journal editorial boards, as well as the Siena/Francis House and Magis Clinic.
