Kevin Fuji, PharmD, assistant professor and director of the Center for Health Services Research and Patient Safety (CHRP), has been chosen to join the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s AACP Catalyst leadership program. After a highly selective process, Fuji was one of only a few selected nationally.
The year-long professional development program is designed to take mid-career researchers to the next level of research and leadership potential. Through in-person sessions, webinars and individualized guidance throughout the year, participants build networks, identify new opportunities and develop tools and skills necessary to become change agents at their institutions.
Participants, or catalysts, are paired with established research leaders as well as research mentors.
“I am excited to engage with a cohort of talented researchers from across the nation,” Fuji said. “As CHRP director, I lead a group of interprofessional faculty in conducting research that impacts practice, policy and education. Participation in the AACP Catalyst program will facilitate my continued development as a research leader, not only enhancing my own research skills, but also my ability to support rigorous and impactful research initiatives within CHRP and the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.” He begins the program in September.
