AOTA Approves Occupational Therapy Pediatric Fellowship Program

AOTA Approves Occupational Therapy Pediatric Fellowship ProgramThe American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) recently approved Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, Department of Occupational Therapy, as a fellowship site, giving Creighton’s OT Pediatric Fellowship Program formal authorization to accept residents.

After the AOTA Fellowship Program Review Committee completed its review and site visit in the spring, it granted approval of Creighton’s program effective June 14. Approval is granted for 10 years.

Through the Pediatric Fellowship Program, residents will participate in interprofessional, collaborative practice opportunities; outpatient services, including feeding, eating and swallowing; sensory integration; general practice; school-based practice; and opportunities to explore other practice settings. Residents also will participate in international teaching and service experiences. Clinic time may include Saturday and/or evening hours.
