Emily Barr, OTD’11, was awarded the Cultivating Your Power & Influence in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Leadership Development Program Scholarship for managers. Only 15 individuals receive this scholarship. Barr is the second Creighton alumna to receive this scholarship. The scholarship includes leadership training from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2017 at the AOTA headquarters in Bethesda, Md. Barr is also the clinical site coordinator for the new occupational therapy gerontology residency program at Creighton University.
“We are thrilled for Emily’s acceptance into the leadership development program,” says Anna Domina, OTD, OTR/L, vice chair and assistant professor in the department of occupational therapy. “As she begins her role as the new clinical site coordinator for the occupational therapy gerontology residency program, I have no doubt that she will flourish and excel.”
